This policy explains how ClaimCoders ("we," "us") handles information about visitors to claimcoders.com and people who contact us. It does not cover protected health information we handle on behalf of client practices; that information is governed by HIPAA and the Business Associate Agreement with each practice. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our quote form or email us, we collect what you provide: your name, practice name, email address, optional phone number, role, specialty, the services you are interested in and your message.
Please do not send patient health information through our website or by email. Our form asks you to confirm that you have not.
Information collected automatically. Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, for security and troubleshooting. To stop spam, our quote form keeps a one-way hashed version of the sender's IP address and the time of each submission for up to one day; it does not keep the content of your message. We do not currently use website analytics. If we add them, they will be privacy-respecting, aggregate tools that do not use advertising cookies or build profiles of individual visitors, and we will update this policy first.
Cookies. We use a small amount of local storage to remember your light or dark theme choice. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on this website.
How we use information

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a marketing mailing list without your permission.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as our email and web hosting providers, under agreements that protect it; when required by law; or to protect our rights and the safety of others. If ClaimCoders is involved in a merger or acquisition, information may transfer as part of that transaction under this policy.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, and client business records as long as our contracts and the law require.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information you have given us by emailing hello@claimcoders.com. Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights; we will honor applicable requests.
Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
