Medical websites that answer questions and book visits

Fast, accessible websites that explain your services in plain language, show up in local search and make booking the obvious next step, without leaking patient data to ad platforms.

What patients need from your website

Patients don't visit a practice website to admire it. They come to answer a few questions fast: Do you treat what I have? Do you take my insurance? Where are you, and when can I be seen? How do I book? If the answers are buried, slow to load or hard to read on a phone, they go back to the search results.

Many practice websites were built once and never revisited. They load slowly, fail basic accessibility checks and still run tracking scripts that federal regulators have warned about.

What we build

  • Clear service pages written in plain language, one page per service or condition you want to be found for.

  • Booking that's easy on mobile, connected to the booking tool you already use.

  • Insurance, location and hours answered on every page where patients look for them.

  • Provider bios with credentials, specialties and photos that build trust.

  • Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, including keyboard navigation, readable contrast, real alt text and captions.

  • Fast performance, built to pass Google's Core Web Vitals on mobile.

  • Privacy-safe forms and analytics, with no advertising pixels on pages where health information could be exposed.

  • Technical SEO, including structured data, clean URLs, sitemaps and redirects from any old pages.

How it works

  1. Discovery

We review your current site, analytics, search presence and booking path, and agree on goals.

  2. Structure and content

A sitemap, page outlines and copy drafts, reviewed by your practice.

  3. Design

A homepage and key page designs in your brand, on desktop and mobile.

  4. Build and test

Development, accessibility and speed testing, redirects and analytics setup.

  5. Launch and care

Go live, monitor search and performance, then ongoing updates on a flat retainer if you want them.

What you get

  • A website your practice owns, with domain and hosting in your name.

  • Mobile-first design that matches your brand or a new brand identity.

  • Written, approved content for every page.

  • Accessibility and performance reports at launch.

  • A redirect map that protects existing search rankings.

  • A short editing guide so your team can update hours, providers and news.

Accessibility is not optional

Beyond being the right thing to do, accessibility is increasingly a legal expectation in healthcare. Under the HHS Section 1557 final rule, many recipients of federal financial assistance are expected to make their web content and mobile apps conform to WCAG 2.1 AA, with compliance dates that depend on organization size. We build to WCAG 2.2 AA, which includes 2.1. Ask your attorney how the rule applies to your practice.

Privacy by design

The HHS Office for Civil Rights has warned that tracking technologies on healthcare websites can disclose protected health information (HHS guidance). We keep advertising pixels off patient-facing pages that touch health information, route form submissions to tools covered by a BAA, and use privacy-respecting analytics. Our HIPAA-ready website checklist explains the details.

Who it's for

  • New practices that need a credible site before opening
  • Practices with an outdated site that's slow or hard to use on phones
  • Practices adding services, locations or providers
  • Practices worried about tracking pixels and privacy on their current site

Pricing

Website builds are quoted as a fixed project with a dated timeline. Hosting, maintenance and content updates are an optional flat monthly retainer. Your practice owns the result either way.

Medical website design & development questions

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, email hello@claimcoders.com.

What makes a medical website different from any other business website?

Three things. Patients arrive with specific questions about services, insurance and availability. Privacy rules limit what tracking and forms you can use. And accessibility matters more, because many visitors are older or managing a health condition. We design for all three.

Can patients book online from the website?

Yes. We connect your site to your online booking tool, whether that is your EHR's scheduler, a booking page in GoHighLevel or another tool you use, and make the booking path short on mobile.

Is the website HIPAA compliant?

A website is not certified as HIPAA compliant; what matters is how it handles patient information. We avoid tracking technologies on pages where health information could be exposed, keep form submissions out of regular email and use tools covered by a BAA when forms collect patient details.

Do we own the website?

Yes. Your domain, hosting account, design files and content belong to your practice. We document everything so another developer could take over if you ever wanted.

Do you write the content?

We can. Our team writes service pages, provider bios and FAQs in plain language, and every page is reviewed by your practice before launch. Clinical claims are always approved by your providers.

Can you redesign our existing site without losing search rankings?

Yes. We map every existing URL to its new home, set up 301 redirects, keep what is working and fix what isn't, then monitor search performance after launch.
